Aurora String Quartet
As ensemble in residence for the Aurora Chamber Music, the Aurora String Quartet serves as a base for the festival concerts, playing together with the invited distinguished guests in different constellations.
In addition to playing quartet the members occasionally work as leaders and concertmasters in many of the Nordic orchestras.
The four members have found a common ground in their love for the quartet repertoire, striving for an honest, direct and powerful expression.
For anyone playing a string quartet, Beethoven’s quartets will stand as some of the most central music ever made, and the admiration, love and respect of the music played here today, is also something the members of Aurora String Quartet have very much in common.
