Konstantin Bogino

Konstantin Bogino comes from a well-known musical family in Moscow. He is the fourth generation of a family that had ties to S. Richter, E. Gilels, Arthur Rubinstein and Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli. This intimate relationship had a great influence on the young pianist’s development, whose first teacher was his father, George Bogino, a renowned pianist, pedagogue and author of several books on music and methodology.
From 1973 to 1978 he gave some 300 concerts throughout Russia, both as soloist and in violin-piano duo with Marina Kozolupova. Since 1980, he has been teaching extensively around the world, in Italy, Germany, Finland, the USA, Japan and South Korea. He is presently on the staff of the International Music Academy in Chioggia in Rome, where he is also Music Director.
Konstantin Bogino has started several chamber music festivals in Portogruaro, Mestre, Chioggia and Dubrovnik. He has been invited to be a member of the jury at international competitions, for instance, ARD (Munich), V. Gui in Florence.
He has recorded for Dynamic, RCA, Ondine, ADDA, Conifer, Musicaimagine and PGP.
