Just a few weeks ago, we finished the latest edition of Aurora. It was a great success with 100 musicians from all over the world and many sold out concerts.

”Hi, this is Andreas Brantelid writing some words from New York. I have not been to Aurora since autumn 2007, that is almost 5 years ago!! a lot happened to me during this time, and a lot has happened to the awesome Aurora project since then…..this coming Aurora in August I will be back to perform in the festivals concerts – but also to have lessons for the fantastic and very interesting cellist Robert Cohen.

I’m excited to get back to Aurora Festival for my second visit! My first visit was in 2010 and the energy from so many talented young musicians, buzzing around from masterclasses to rehearsals and concerts, was something you could breath in.
The appetite for learning was almost overwhelming, including in my cello class, where I ended up teaching violinists, violists and singers too. We had such a fantastic time from the beginning to the end of each day, professors and students mixing and enjoying the immersion, discussing music, even between …
